Founded in the UK in 2005, Wisper have a wealth of information about and experience in developing new electric bikes. Although over the years, there have been 2 changes in ownership, MD David Miall has been there throughout.

They offer 3 ranges of e-bikes, Traditional, Wayfarer. All Wisper bikes are fitted with a UK legal throttle. This works up to 15mph when the pedals are being turned. Many can be modified legally with a Twist and Go throttle up to 15mph. Full details can be found here

Wisper Traditional Electric Bikes
The Traditional Range of Wisper electric bikes comprise 705 Low step-through and 705 24 (24” Wheels) small step-through which is ideal for riders about 5ft tall. These bikes with the low step-through curved frame and flat rack based battery have been the core of Wisper bikes for about 10 years. Their comfortable riding position has contributer to their great popularity. 3 battery options hydraulic disc brakes comfort saddles and a legal thumb throttle all contribute to their reputation. The SE (Standard version has a cadence sensor which just relies on the fact that the pedals are being turned to deliver power and the “T” version which has a torque sensor and relies on the rider pushing the pedal.
Wisper TW806 Folding Electric
The TW806 was introduced in 2025 as a completely new design. It is available with two different specidictions. The standard specifivcation has a cadence sensor which helps riders with less strength in their pedals to get full power out of the bike without pressing hard on the pedals. Low step-through frame, hydraulic brakes, comfort saddle and 2.25″ tyres make the TW806 a comfortable bike to ride with anumber of safety features.
It is also available as an Encore version with upgraded specification. The upgraded torque sensor pedal assist responds to the pressure put on the pedals giving a more intuitive riding style
Wisper Tailwind Electric Bike
The completely new Tailwind design from Wisper with a sleek fully integrated battery that appeals to a younger rider with a forward riding position. The 36V electrical system offers the best combination of power and speed in the urban, road and path environs. The combination of high torque rear hub motor, rotation sensor, legal throttle and good gearing is making this bike a popular choice for those in hilly areas
