Introduction
Battery re-builds are a great way of getting a new battery for your e-bike. Many shapes and sizes of e-bike battery have been produced over the years, and it is often not possible to purchase a new one. In many cases, the original battery case is in good condition and can be re-filled with a new cell pack of similar capacity to your original.
You purchase a new factory made battery pack complete with a new BMS (Battery Management System) The BMS is programmed to take care of your new battery ensuring that it is operating safely. You can usually continue to use your existing charger.
The contractor we use for re-building, imports complete factory made cell blocks utilising high quality cells. They also fit a new BMS (Battery Management System).
Every battery is fully charged before it leaves the works, just to ensure that everything is working OK.
All re-built batteries are guaranteed for 12 months

The Process
When we learn that you are looking to replace the cells in your battery, we will examine your form and may well phone you for more clarification and may ask for a photo. Just so the contractor knows exactly what he is dealing with and to ensure that he has a suitable cell pack.
When you place an order, we will ask for your address, if you have not already provided it. We will also ask you to pack the battery securely for transport.
We will give you a job number which needs marking clearly on the box and arrange for a courier to collect the battery from your address on a convenient day. When we have the courier confirmation, we will email you the label to fix to the box.
Delivery is made direct to the contractor, unless you have asked us to test the battery first.
When the battery is ready to be returned to you, we will ask for payment, either by Online bank transfer or by Link payment if you wish to pay by card.
On receipt of payment the contractor will send the carton to you by overnight delivery.
Raleigh Stow-e-way battery
The Raleigh Stow-e-way battery is a 36V X 6.8Ah battery fitting down the rear of the seat post. As far as we are aware, this pattern is unique to this bike. Genuine new batteries are expensive due to transport and customs costs from Germany since Brexit.
