Hikobikes
Hikobike 48 Volt electric bikes is a New Zealand-based company that specializes in importing their own brand of electric bikes. The company was founded in 2013 by a group of cycling enthusiasts who wanted to create a sustainable mode of transportation and for sports use. Since then, Hikobike has been producing high-quality electric bikes that are both stylish and functional.
Family connections brought the company to the UK in 2018. Bikes modified for the UK market are despatched direct from the factory.

48V Electrical systems
Hikobike’s 48V electrical systems are designed to deliver a higher power output, which results in improved acceleration and better performance in demanding situations. The additional voltage contributes to increased torque with tougher and sustained hill climbing ability. The 48V bikes use heavier wiring systems and controllers, which are able to deliver increased sustained power from the battery to the motor. This makes them ideal for sports performance in tough and hilly areas, or quick acceleration on roundabouts and in busy traffic lanes.
Hikobikes are fitted with integrated front and rear lamps and Tektro Hydraulic disc brakes which also operate a rear brake light. Throttles are fitted to give you a 4mph start and several items regarded as extras on many bikes are supplied as standard -rear cargo rack, full mudguards and kick stands
48V Rear wheel drive
The popular Hikobike NZPulse 48V Electric Step Bike is designed for comfortable commuting and features a semi-step-through frame that makes it easy to get on and off. It comes with a powerful 48V motor and battery that delivers an impressive range of up to 50 miles per charge. Power for the rider is ensured by the use of a rotation pedal assist sensor. The bike is also equipped with a Shimano 7-speed gear system, hydraulic disc brakes, and a colour LCD display.
In addition, Enduro and Scout are hard tail MTBs with the same 48V electrical specification. Unlike most 36V rear wheel drive electric bikes, the 48V Enduro crossbar and Scout step-through models have torque sensor pedal assist systems. This means that they ride in a more intuitive way.
48V Mid-drive
On the other hand, Hikobike Rangler and Vibe are both 48V electric bikes with the 100Nm Japanese Dapu MD250 Motor. The 27.5” low crossbar Rangler is easy to mount while the 26” wheel Vibe is a full step-through. Both bikes double up as fast and powerful commuter bikes with the ability to cope with adventures and trails that include sustained hill climbing.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Hikobike has been producing 48 Volt electric bikes since 2013. Their bikes are known for their best-in-class components, innovative design, and impressive performance. For cyclists for whom performance and ability to stand up to tough terrain is the key, Hikobike is an excellent choice
