The powerful 80Nm Motinova Mid-Drive motor complete with torque sensor provides a smooth, responsive ride. The rider is able to make the best use of the controls, piling on the power for hills and easing off on the flat or down a slope where little pedal assist is needed. 9 gears and Shimano rapid fire gear shifters together with 5 motor power settings ensure the rider has complete control of the selection of power and gearing.  When it comes to stopping, the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm disc on the front are more than adequate.
