This Axcess Shetland folding electric bike is in good cosmetic condition. It is being sold with a new 36V X 10AH battery the will be guaranteed for 18 months. Althouth the current battery does not work, the bike has been tested with a battery and the Pedal assist and throttle are both working properly..

The folding frame has been designed to maximise comfort. Being 2" longer than many similar looking bikes, the forward curved handlebars gain a further 3" of legroom, again improving riding position. The chunky 2.1" tyres give good grip on paths and tracks

These bike were legally programmed so that the throttle works up to 4mph without the pedals being turned.  But it you turn the pedals and press the throttle the bike will accelerate up to 15mph with little pressure on the pedals.

Thes tough little bikes were in production from 2012 till 2023 with various modifications over the years. This model has had little use mainly on private land. The bike is operated with a left hand LED display giving the rider 3 power assist levels and OFF. This means that the bike can be ridden as an ordinary bike with the powe switched ON. Then if you need assistance, this is available at the touch of a button.

On the bike side ther are 6 gears for the rider to assist the moror.  Because this bike has the same motor as the full size bikes but smaller wheels, it is in efect lower geared making it an excellebt hill climber.

On sale the bike will be fitted with a brand new 36V X 10Ah battery that should give the rided about 30Miles range on medium power pedal assist.  A 36V X 15.6Ah battery is available for an extra £35.

The bike has a broken chainguard which cannot be replaced which you may wish to remove.  But the chainwheel itself has a legal chainguard which is in legal.
