The geometry of the standard Hilux700C  bike has proved comfortable for a wide range of users. So, deciding to make a Mid-Drive version has many advantages. Firstly, the two bikes share many of the spare parts.

Mid Drive bikes are more in tune with riding an ordinary bike, in that the motor responds to the pressure that the rider applies to the pedals This is more intuitive, and is easier on the amount of electrical power the rider tends to use.  The rider can still select 5 power settings so increasing the percentage of the power supplied by the motor. Generally, you can expect an extra 10 mileage compared with a standard rotation centre

The 90Nm Motinova Pegasi gives great assistance especially as the radius of the chain wheel has been substantially reduced so that it will deliver similar power to a rear hub motor.  The rider provides his effort through a Shimano Cues 9 Speer Cassette with the matching Rapid Fire gear change.

Anticipating that riders will want to use this bike for extensive trips, a 17.5Ah battery is available as well as the 14Ah and 10Ah.  Riders should achieve 60 – 80 mile range from the largest battery, depending on the difficulty of the terrain and the level of assistance used.

Excellent braking is supplied through Shimano MT-200 hydraulic disc brakes, with 180mm discs front and rear.

A comprehensive specification includes, suspension forks, comfort saddle and ergonomic hand grips as well as coloured LCD display, rear luggage rack,  Puncture resistant tyres mudguards and kick stand
