The choice of Cadence or Torque sensor dictates how the bike rides.  The standard Cadence sensor reacts to the motion from the pedals to switch the bike ON.  With the Torque sensor, the controller on the bike also reacts to the pressure that you put on the pedals.  This is more like riding a normal bike.  The one advantage of the cadence sensor is that you can get full power from the bike without putting much pressure on the pedals.  You can find more details in the Wisper FAQ's
